Christmas Festivities.

Merry Christmas you wonderful lot.
After the troubles of yesterday and trying to get home; today has been wonderful.
Been thoroughly spoilt, had beautiful food until I’ve burst and had a wonderful time with my family. It may have taken me a while to get into the Christmas spirit but today I’ve definitely embraced it.
Happy Charlotte.

Thorpe Park Thrills.

Oh man, am I knackered. I’m typing this in bed, my body aching to sleep. But today I had fun. Today I had thrills. Today I spent the day at Thorpe Park.
Only forty minutes down the road me and my family have spent many a days inside the Thorpe Park grounds, even having annual passes many moons ago. But thanks to Tesco and the sheer mountain of food we eat, we were able to make our annual theme park trip.
With the weather being undecided, each forecast told a different story, we were lucky enough for the skies to withhold the rain and let the sun shine. Beautiful, and a happy Charlotte. Arriving just after nine thirty we were able spend the entire day there. And I mean entire. Me and my Dad were on the second to last coaster of Stealth, one of the last rides open in the park. For me Stealth isn’t one of favourites, it is the only one that physically forces a scream from me (I mean, my throat hurts even now) but it had been closed all day so I thought why not? Plus, my dad wanted to go on it. Annnd he had just gone of The Swarm backwards for me.

Stealth. But a couple of years ago as I was a numpty and forgot to take pictures today.

Oh my! The Swarm. How fabulous. Awesome concept, great set up. Exciting coaster. But man, going backwards was dizzy and disorienting. Shame, but going forward was amazing.
And *gush* Saw. My still firm favourite. A mixture of two fabulous’ in my life; horror films and roller coasters. Genius. And watching my sister go on it for the first time was priceless. Even if she did nearly cry.
I’m sorry this isn’t longer, or more detailed, but I’m so tired. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. Probably should have typed this before getting into bed. But oh well. It was a fabulous day well spent with my famalam. So beautiful, so much love for Thorpe Park.
Night guys.

Back and Relaxed

Well you fabulous lot, I am back from my holidays and I must say I am so relaxed.
The beach, my family and week full of nothingness was just what I needed. Oh, yeah Camber Sands.

Once we checked into our caravan and met with my extended amalgam including Alex *yay* it was already time for dinner and the entertainment. The rain didn’t dampen our mood though as we ended up staying at the entertainment until one am. Rock and roll lifestyle that is.
That’s because MK1 were playing. I didn’t have a clue who they were, I’d given up on the X Factor actually. But they had competed on the X Factor this year. But when they came on, they weren’t bad. I liked their music, even if I didn’t know the words. And we met them afterwards, twice! And I must say they were lovely. And Friday there was a cool stunt pirate show. It was pretty awesome.
image

There was a swimming pool on site, and as you may know me and my sisters’ are water babies. But, this pool was small *sob* so we only went twice and spent no more than an hour in there. We spent more time in the arcades. Hehehe.
I celebrated my nineteenth birthday on the Monday. It was strange to celebrate it on holiday. But lovely. Spent it shopping in Hastings shopping, piercing my second cartilage and having an awesome meal with everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thursday was the only truly scorching hot day. Which meant beach day! And oh did we take advantage. Spent all day down there. And barbequed for dinner too. Win! But man my back got burn and it still hurts :(.

Now, I took three books. The Mercy series by Rebecca Lim. I hoped to read them all but I am struggling with the first book still. I took it to the beach but I just couldn’t get into it. The frustration. Anyone else read it? I want to finish it but I just physically can’t. It is taking me too long and I’ve lost interest. But we did stop off at the Ashford Designer Outlet and I bought Midnights by Scott Westerfeld so I may abandon Mercy for them as I’m pretty excited by these new books. But hey.
And Friday? We visited Dungeness. A marshland, so desolate with a few houses dotted here and there. But I thought it looked awesome, like a scene from a film. So close to the water, but looked so abandoned. Something was there that I strangely liked. And, oh my the lighthouse. Me and my Dad went up the lighthouse. It had beautiful views. So amazing! Views for miles. So beautiful!

So, the week was fabulous, I feel fabulous. Yay to being fabulous.

P.S whilst writing this I was watching Kick-Ass for the first time so it took more than twice as long. Gah, why have I never seen this film before; it is epic.

Meet the Hilarities.

I fancied a giggle last night. So, what did I do? I watched my favourite comedies of course. Comedies which dominated my film viewing habits in my early teen years.

meet the
Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers.

The hilarious adventures of when Greg Focker meets his in-laws. Intent of proposing to his girlfriend Pam, Greg has one hurdle to overcome before hand. His in-laws. So, the couple visit her home for the weekend to meet her family. With a strict, straight up ex CIA father in law, surely the weekend can go absolutely fine. And in the second film, with a wedding looming there is only one thing left to do. Let the in laws meet the parents. With Greg’s liberal parents huggers and kissers, surely they are going to get on with Jack fabulously, right.

If you haven’t seen these film; have you been living under a rock?!
When I first got these DVDS ( I was a little too young to go see them at the cinema when they came out) my eyes were opened to new, amazing movies. I’m pretty sure they were the films that followed my transition from kids to fabulous comedies. I knew this humour would definitely be the one that I whole heartedly fell in love with.
And this is one of the only sequels which have ever out-funnied its parent (hehe, punny). At one point I am pretty sure I watched ‘Meet the Fockers’ so much more that I actually forgot the majority of the first film. Monemts that left me in tears. Trust me, it is seriously that good.
I absolutely love all the characters, but I think it is Bernie and Ros; Greg’s parents which light up the entire second film. It is just comedy genius. The pairing was awesome, the way Hoffman and Streisand act on screen is so believe. It is hard not to love them like your own parents. They are actually awesome.
Omg, but the best part. Little Jack. Whatever genius came up with him deserves a god damn prize. His first word; has me in stitches every time. And the faces he pulls. Love it!
However, the third film I do not own on DVD. My whole family was so excited when it came out we all went to the cinema together to see it (a great family outing aha). However, we were so disappointed. It never lived up to its predecessors (although it did have very big shoes to fill) and I never had a desire to purchase it in DVD form. The funnies just were not there.
But regardless, I’m chilled out and full of funny thanks to these fabulous films.
Laughter for all!

The Best Things.

best

The best things in life are free.

The best sentence you can say to a student.

I kid.

Embrace the little things in life that are there. That come at no cost. They make life worthwhile.

Squeeze those hugs. Shine with those smiles. Go crazy with those friends. Steal those kisses. Feel that love. Join that laughter. Reminise with those memories. Spend time with the family. And sleep soundly, dream vivdly to make them come reailty.

Don’t forget these things. They make life awesome.

Loving Life With Grumposaur.

Today I ventured into shopping heaven, and a crowd haters nightmare. Today I went to Westfield, Stratford City and let’s just say I fell in love.

My heart wasn’t captured by the shopping centre, although it is a beauty in its own right. There was one shop which bathed me in lust and desire. One shop that every time I go to Bluewater, the similar version of Westfield that is equally epic, and desire every good they sell. One that brings out my inner child with its witty slogans and logos. It’s bright colours that takes my eye and never wants me to leave. David and Goliath, you have entrapped my soul with your awesome stock.

Already owning a wonderful yellow hoodie with a witty toast slogan on it, I bounced into the store, so happy to be reunited with the amazing stock. Being nearly year since I entered the shop I was loving greeted with new epic slogans. My favourite: Grumposaur.

It tickles me so much, my mum and sisters pointed it out to me at first. I think I may have a reputation for being a bit grumpy (yeah right! aha) but I don’t even care if I get associated with this adorable grumpy dinosaur. His face, his posture, his attitude is just too cute.

I just wanted him all to myself. I needed to purchase something with his grumpilious face on. I finally decided on a wristband so I can see him anytime (okay, that may sound a lil’ freaky aha), and because I couldn’t afford a t-shirt let alone one of their comfy goodies. Damn you stupid student budget, why do you alienate me from my favourite shop?! But I don’t mind, I have at least one thing with this epic guy on. He is defo me, and I will call him my own.

I’d love to have him as a pet, brooding in a corner. Tehe, he’d be adorable.

So thank you David and Goliath for introducing me to Grumposaur. He’s adorably grumpy and I love him. So I’m sharing him with you lovely people and I hope you guys find him as cute as I do.

Grumpy out.
